Ozzy Osbourne goes vegan

Ozzie Osbourne Goes Vegan
Ozzy Osbourne dumps meat to turn vegan

In an interview with The Daily Express Ozzie revealed

“My assistant showed me a video called Forks Over Knives about cutting out meat and dairy products so I thought, ‘I’ll give this a shot,’”

The former bat eating “Prince of Darkness” also believes the change has given him a new lease of life.

“I feel better about myself, you know?

“I go on binges. That’s the reason why I decided to cut out meat and dairy. I’ve limited what I can have because when you’re on the road and you’re travelling you grab buns, and burgers are everywhere. So now I’ve just narrowed the margin.”

Ozzie Osbourne joins a host of celebities stepping onto a Plantarian pathway for better health and to save the planet.

It seems we are now gauranteed to break records for World health and sustainabilty this One World Day

Vegan Bodybuilder Danny David Sprouts Muscles Naturally, Part 1 - Miami Restaurants and Dining - Short Order

Vegan Bodybuilder Danny David Sprouts Muscles Naturally

vegan bodybuilder pure vegetarian plant muscle Danny DavidAnother story of a body builder finding that Plantarian diets offers BIG advantages over meat and dairy

David is a certified fitness trainer, nutritionist, model, and soon-to-be author, currently in Vancouver. He feeds his muscles with a 70 percent raw, all plant-based diet, but it wasn't always that way.

"I started out on a more conventional body building track... I got up to 210 pounds," he said. "At the time, I was working in New York as a fitness model, but I wasn't really running on fuel. I was running on energy drinks and eating as much as I could. Meat protein, whey protein. It eventually led to my body and mind breaking down. I went to the hospital and they found I had severe tissue damage."

After his crash in 2007, David found raw foods while in pursuit of some spiritual development.

"I started with practicing energy work, became less resistant, and began meditating more," he said. "And I was living in New York, so then my friends started taking me to juice bars, and I cut out a lot of meat. It actually started with me doing a one-week raw cleanse, and I just loved it so much that I didn't want to stop."

Tal Ronnen Vegan Chef

Chef Tal Ronnen photo by Matt Prescott
Tal Ronnen catered the vegan wedding for Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi. Casino mogul Steve Wynn tapped him to add vegan dishes to the menus at all 22 restaurants at the luxurious Wynn and Encore resorts in Vegas. Former McDonald's executives invited him onboard to help launch a chain of healthful fast-food restaurants later this year. And when Oprah decided to try the vegan thing, Tal was her guide. (She calls him the best vegan chef in America.)

But here's the real secret behind his ascension to first-name-only status as a vegan rock-star chef: Like UK Vegan Chef Tony Bishop-Weston he thinks like a meat eater.

"So many people tell me, 'I could be a vegan if it weren't for bacon,' and I tell them, 'Be a "vegan" who eats bacon,'" Tal says with a shrug as he sits in the sun-dappled dining room of his loft in downtown Los Angeles. See LA Times

I know that if I didn't follow this diet, I would never have had the energy to be a world-class triathlete orjust as demanding—a firefighter. On a plant-based diet, you'll be stockpiling away the nutrients like never before, improving your health, and reversing disease. Dale Vince Vegan Football Hero

Beef Burgers, Sausages and Pies banned from Football Stadium: Big shout to Dale Vince, the guy behind Ecotricity - the sustainable energy innovators. Dale has taken Beef off the menu at Forest Green Rovers Football club where he is Chairman.

Dale said on the club's website
"The decision was taken on performance and health grounds.
Following that it seemed quite right that if red meat was not good enough to feed our players, then it wasn't good enough for our staff, fans and visitors too.

Consequently red meat is now off the menu at Forest Green Rovers. We're simply saying we won't any longer provide Red Meat at the club. We've taken it off the menu.  This is a part of a bigger picture move - it's about improving the quality of food at FGR, about providing better quality, healthy food all round."

Another step closer to the 2011 Plantarian goal of a One World Day Record for meat free healthy and sustainable living
